Fueling the Toronto Blue Jays in Tampa Bay: Coffee, Matcha, and a 5–1 Win
Some events are especially memorable—and serving the Toronto Blue Jays in Tampa Bay was definitely one of them.
À La Mode Coffee had the pleasure of bringing our mobile espresso bar to the team at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. We served freshly made espresso drinks, lattes, cappuccinos, and matcha, giving the players and staff a café-quality boost before game time.
Then came the fun part: the Blue Jays defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 5–1.
We cannot officially claim that our coffee was the secret ingredient—but three Toronto home runs later, we are not ruling it out.
A Winning Day at Tropicana Field
The Toronto Blue Jays finished the August 20, 2026 game with a strong performance against the Rays. Kazuma Okamoto, Nathan Lukes, and Daz Cameron each hit a home run, while George Springer added two RBIs. Shane Bieber delivered seven impressive innings, allowing only one run as Toronto secured the victory.
The win was even more meaningful because it gave Toronto its seventh consecutive series win and its first series victory at Tropicana Field since September 2023, according to the official MLB game recap.
For us, it was exciting to be part of the energy behind the scenes and to serve a professional baseball team on such a successful day.
More Than Coffee Catering
At À La Mode Coffee, we believe great coffee catering is about more than simply handing someone a drink. It is about creating an experience that feels welcoming, personal, and polished—even in a fast-paced professional sports environment.
Our setup brought the coffee shop directly to the team. Every drink was prepared fresh on-site by a professional barista, from bold espresso and smooth lattes to refreshing matcha. Guests could order their drinks exactly the way they liked them, with dairy and non-dairy milk options and a selection of flavors.
That same experience is available for:
